South Jersey Contractors (“we,” “us,” “our”) operates southjerseycontractors.com, a curated directory of home-improvement contractors serving Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, and Salem counties in New Jersey. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it.
We are a service-area business with no public physical location. We do not perform contracting work. We publish information about independent contractors.
What Information We Collect
We collect two kinds of information: what you give us directly, and what your browser sends automatically.
Information you give us
- Contact form submissions — name, email address, phone number, subject, and message.
- Contractor listing and advertising inquiries — business name, owner name, business contact details, service area, trade category, NJ Home Improvement Contractor registration number (13VH), and insurance documentation you choose to send us for verification.
- Correction, removal, and complaint requests — whatever you include in your message to us.

This directory links out to independent contractor websites, township construction offices, and state agencies. Once you leave southjerseycontractors.com, this policy no longer applies. Each business you contact handles your information under its own policy, and we have no control over that. If you call a roofer we list in Cherry Hill or Mays Landing, your conversation and any information you give them is between you and that company.
How Long We Keep It
Contact-form messages are retained for up to 24 months, then deleted. Contractor verification records — registration numbers, insurance confirmations, correspondence — are retained for as long as the listing is published plus 24 months, because they document why we published what we published. Server logs are retained for up to 12 months. Aggregate, non-identifying analytics may be kept indefinitely.
Your Privacy Rights
